GUE INSTRUCTOR TRAINING COURSES

GUE Tech ITC

With Guy Shockey and Graham Blackmore

Vancouver Island, BC

July 1 - 6, 2024

Becoming a GUE technical instructor can be a demanding process but it is a more direct and straight forward path than that required for you to qualify as a fundamentals instructor. At this level, your peer group is quite a bit smaller and this is not just because it takes longer and costs more to get here. Not every GUE instructor has what it takes to make a good technical instructor. This is not just another step up the ladder.  A GUE instructor is expected to have significant experience in diving as well as educating. The standards are higher and so is the risk you will be required to manage.

Contact Guy at [email protected] or [email protected] to discuss your training goals.

July 18 - 24, 2024

Becoming a GUE instructor can be a long and demanding process, as is confirmed by the small group that has been able to reach the high bar we have set. One of the most direct paths to this certification is by attending an Instructor Training Course. Here we will work on learning to teach classroom lectures, refine field drills, and work on your personal diving skills and student control in the water.

Contact Guy at [email protected] or [email protected] to discuss your training goals.
